Reportedly, an unverified images of Rs 2000 note
is doing rounds on social media. However, there has been no official
confirmation from the Reserve Bank India as of now. Earlier, as per sources, Reserve
Bank India has nearly completed all the preparations for introducing this new
currency. The highest denomination note to be printed by the RBI was the Rs
10000 note in 1938 & again in 1954, but later demonetised in 1946 &
1978.
