The Indian Space Research Organisation on Sunday
successfully launched the newly developed Scramjet Rocket Engine. The rocket
engine, which was developed at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, takes
atmospheric oxygen to burn engine fuel and eventually will be used to power its
reusable launch vehicle (RLV) at hypersonic speed.
