Secretary of Economic Affairs Shaktikanta said that the new
Rs 2000 and Rs 500 notes with new designs and features will be released by RBI
from November 10 onwards. He added that currencies of other denominations will
be printed in due course. RBI Governor Urjit Patel said that the RBI has
increased production and will release the currency as soon as possible.
