The Union Government mulls on launching a Digital
Locker facility as a part of PM Modi's Digital India intiative towards paper
free governance. The Centre feels that a DigiLocker service, would help benefit
citizens to store documents securely even with private players. The govt looks
to appoint a Digital Locker Authority who can institute and execute the system
that can retain info of customers.
