INS Chennai (D65), the 3rd and final ship of the
Class P15-A (Stealth Guided Missile Destroyer) will be commissioned into active
service on Monday. Touted one of the largest destroyers to be built
indigenously, the ship has a length of 164 meter and has the capability to
displace over 7500 tonnes of sea water. It is loaded with supersonic 'BrahMos'
& 'Barak-8' long range surface to air missiles.
