In a major move to the ongoing 'currency
reformation', Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced that new Rs
1000 notes will be re-introduced soon. The new notes will have enhanced
security features with complete new design and color combination. Speaking to
media, he said there will be some impact on local purchases, but long term
effect will be beneficial.
