India, which is one of the fastest growing
economies in the world, is still in a very sad situation. According to the
Global Hunger Index report, India is ranked as low as 97 amongst 118 developing
countries. The GHI is a multidimensional statistical tool that describes the
state of a countries' Hunger Index globally. Other neighbours Sri Lanka,
B'desh, Nepal and China are all ranked above India.
