Civil Aviation Secretary RN Choubey announced on Wednesday that
the government may soon allow WiFi internet in flights in Indian airspace. This
comes after the national carrier Air India reportedly submitted a request
seeking to remove the ban on the use of devices that transmit radio signals.
Notably, over 60 countries already permit the use of in-flight WiFi.
