The much awaited Goods and Service Tax(GST)
Bill has been passed in Rajya Sabha. Out of 200 members, all have voted in
favour of the bill, the GST had already been passed in Lok Sabha in 2015. The bill previously introduced by Congress in 2009, GST bill aims to bring in Single tax Structure
for all the states in entire nation.The Goods and
Services Tax (GST), the biggest reform in India’s indirect tax structure since
the economy began to be opened up 25 years ago, at last looks set to become
reality. The GST is the Constitution (122nd) Amendment Bill.
