National Disaster Response Force is prepared for
Cyclone Vardah, which is expected to hit the coast of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil
Nadu on Monday. NDRF DG RK Pachnanda said that 5 teams have already been
pre-positioned in AndhraPradesh at Tada, Sullurpeta, Nellore and in some more
places and 6 in TamilNaidu and added that more teams are ready to move if
required. He added that NDRF is in constant touch with state govts, Home
Ministry and is monitoring the situation.
